As we reach the end of the year, cooler temperatures, darker days - we naturally turn inwards - seeking stillness and time alone to reflect, process, and heal our minds and bodies in preparation for a new year. If you have felt yourself yearning for some deep selfcare time focused on softening and healing, join us...
What is Wintering? It is the practice of turning in, practicing more self care, taking time to reflect and process, spending more time alone. Wintering is what many plants and animals do during the colder, darker months of the year - helping them rest deeply to prepare for what is to come.
We too need to practice Wintering, especially with our fast paced, 24/7 lives. But, Wintering isn't just for the winter. We can "winter" whenever we are transitioning, changing jobs/house/careers/relationships, whenever we are processing trauma and/or grief. That turning in, resting, pulling the softness all around us can be so very supportive and loving.
Join me for this very special Wintering At Home Retreat where we will begin by moving softly to unwind tension, balance our breath with pranayama, set up our healing "rest nest" and settle in for an extended Yoga Nidra session. Afterwards we will journal for awhile with journal prompts directly related to exploring how you can use Wintering in your own life. For the remainder of the retreat, we will spend time practicing self care yoga and meditation (Yin, Restorative, body scans) to support us during this time and explore journal prompts throughout.
This at home retreat includes a 40 page printable companion guide to help you set your intention(s), prepare for your retreat, recipes, journal prompts, journaling pages, opening/closing ceremony pages and more.
Props: Soft blankets, pillows, cushions, eye pillow, comfortable clothing - anything and everything that will make you feel supported, loved and deeply cared for. Setup: candles, pen, journal/paper, soft lights, space to spread out and take up space with your body.
