Dealing with PMS and ruminating thoughts and addictive behaviours this morning I came across this yoga class and it was exactly what i needed! Not another fast paced exercise class to try and get high off endorphin release, but to stretch my hips out which give me so much discomfort daily and to sit with those uneasy feelings and face my mind instead of constantly running away from it. I am definitely becoming more of a fan of yin, it is so subtle but almost like magic how it unties you physically and then emotionally. As a yoga teacher myself currently with a left SI joint inflammation and occasional sciatica, and about to teach an online Restorative Yoga class, I thank you for showing that yoga teachers also can still have body issues to deal with, regardless of the number of years practising. And I sympathise with you and see myself in how you are carefully moving in and out of the postures. I can not tell you how much you have helped me. I have a 65 degree scoliosis and I was in so much pain I feared I would live life in a wheel chair. I could not function well and could only stand for 15 minutes at a time. Now I have very little pain. I can lift heavy objects with no problem. I am stronger and more flexible. I have immune system problems too and I hope this helps. I have been taking your classes 3 times a week for many months now. With covid, this is perfect for me, so I do not have to go out in public. I am very grateful for you. You are the best teacher ever! What an incredible soul you are!! NB
You're just a wonderful person, full of love and always connected with your community... I think everyone feels so welcome and cared by you... In your practice you always think of the person who is maybe a little bit stiff or not able to do everything, you make us feel comfortable and confident irrelevant how "abled" we are...thank you so so much. Bliss, bliss, bliss! After a long, hot day operating heavy machinery, my shoulders were hunched up to my ears and my neck felt like it had piano wire being slowly tightened in it. I just wanted to thank you for your yin yoga sessions on youtube. I've never been a fan of yin yoga before but your sessions are so peaceful and calming. You explain things really well and I really appreciate that you seem to have found the balance of just the right amount of talking to explain things, but not talking throughout the entire session :) Your sequences are also really effective. I've done some of the digestion ones and genuinely felt better. I've done some of the ones for sleep and then slept really well.
