The hips and glutes are the densest area of connective tissue in the body - which means lots of Yin Yoga works well here! Some research posits that our connective tissue holds emotional memory - our "baggage" so to say. In this practice we hold poses for longer, getting deep into the tissue of this area to release all of the things holding us back.
